PRULindungi Syariah is a Sharia-based life insurance product provided by PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah). If the participant is hospitalized or admitted to the ICU, undergoes emergency treatment and surgery, is diagnosed with a critical condition, or passes away due to an accident, natural causes, or an infectious disease, PRULindungi Syariah will provide benefits according to the selected plan to help ease the financial burden of the participant or tbeneficiary beneficiaries.

What is Health Protection (PRULindungi Syariah)?

Health Protection is the name in the Jenius app for the Sharia-based life insurance product provided by PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah).

What benefits are included in Health Protection?

PRULindungi Syariah provides Death Benefit protection as the basic benefit, as well as Optional Benefits according to the selected package as stated in the insurance certificate.

How is Health Protection different from other life insurance products?

1. Based on Sharia principles: Uses thearru’ contract and is managed in accordance with the principle of mutual assistance, supervised by the Sharia Supervisory Board.
2. Fully digital: From product education, purchase, and payment to checking certificate status, all can be done directly through the application.
3. No medical check-up: Simply fill in personal data, choose a protection package, and make payment, without a medical examination.
4. Affordable & flexible protection: Affordable single contributions with a 12-month coverage period, easily renewable through the application.

How does Health Protection work or what is its mechanism?

After paying the single contribution and filling in the data, including the full name of the beneficiary, you are officially enrolled as a Health Protection participant. The certificate will be issued and sent to your email. You will be covered for the selected coverage period (for example, 1 year). Details of the single contribution, benefits, terms and conditions, and exclusions are stated in the insurance certificate, which you can review in those documents.

If the participant undergoes treatment or passes away, a claim can be submitted no later than 90 days after the event. A waiting period applies for 30 days for hospitalization, emergency outpatient treatment, ICU, and surgery, 60 days for critical conditions and cancer, and 14 days for the death benefit.

What are the exclusions of Health Protection?

Some conditions are not covered under PRULindungi Syariah, including:
1. Intentional acts: Such as suicide or attempted suicide within the first two years of participation.
2. Unlawful acts: Injury or death resulting from committing a crime or violating the law.
3. Influence of alcohol or narcotics: Death caused by being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or addictive substances.
4. Extreme or high-risk events: For example, participating in illegal street racing, extreme sports, or war.
5. Certain illnesses or conditions: Including pre-existing conditions that were not disclosed during registration.

What are my obligations as a Health Protection participant?

As a participant, your responsibility is to make sure that:
1. Data accuracy: Participants must complete the life insurance application form with accurate and complete information, including personal data and health conditions. Errors or incomplete data may result in certificate cancellation. Prudential reserves the right to reject a certificate application if it does not meet the applicable requirements and regulations.
2. Document understanding: Participants must read and understand the life insurance application form and the insurance benefit illustration sheet in the Product and Service Information Summary (RIPLAY), both personal and general, before agreeing to and digitally signing it through the purchase confirmation in the Jenius app.
3. Single contribution payment: Participants must pay the single contribution for one year in full before the certificate is issued.

What are the requirements to become a Health Protection participant before buying?

Make sure you have a Jenius account and have updated your personal data. You also need to ensure that your age meets the requirements, which are:
– 19-50 years old on your next birthday, if your marital status is married
– 22-50 years old on your next birthday, if your marital status is single

If all requirements are met, you can proceed directly to apply for Health Protection through the Jenius app.

Are there any health requirements or medical checkups needed?

No. You can immediately have Health Protection without needing to undergo medical examinations.

What should I do when my age is said not to meet the requirements, even though I am still within the insured age requirement range?

If this happens, you can update your data first through the Edit Profile feature in the Jenius app.

After completion, recheck the recap page to ensure your data is correct.

Can I buy Protection for family or others?

For Health Protection, you can only buy a one for yourself. Payment or purchase of Protection for others is not yet available at this time.

If I already have PRULindungi Syariah elsewhere, can I still buy PRULindungi Syariah again in the Jenius app?

No, you cannot purchase Health Protection (PRULindungi Syariah) on the Jenius app if you already have an active certificate from another provider.

Can I transfer my certificate to another person?

No. The certificate will always be registered under the name of the certificate holder, which is the person who bought Health Protection from the Jenius app.

What protection plan options are available on Jenius?

There are 3 plans you can choose from:
– Silver: Affordable price with essential benefits
– Gold: Mid-range price with moderate benefits
– Platinum: High-class price with high-class benefits

All plans provide the same benefits, namely:
– Death benefit due to death by natural causes
– Death benefit due to death by accident
– Total permanent disability benefit
– Total permanent disability benefit due to accident
– Critical illness benefit

The difference lies in the single contribution amount and the benefit payout, with Silver being the most affordable plan and offering the lowest benefit amount. The higher the plan you choose, the greater the coverage you will receive. You can check the benefit details and prices in the Jenius app.

How are the death benefit details for natural causes?

If the participant passes away due to natural causes while the certificate is active, the protection benefit will be paid in full (100%) to the registered beneficiary. A waiting period of 14 days applies from the certificate activation date.

The protection amount will follow the plan you choose. For single contributions, benefit details, and the latest coverage amount, you can check in the Jenius app.

How are the death benefit details for accidents?

If the participant passes away due to an accident while the certificate is active, the protection benefit will be paid in full (100%) to the registered beneficiary. There is no waiting period for this coverage.

The protection amount will follow the plan you choose. For single contributions amount, benefit details, and the latest coverage amount, you can check in the Jenius app.

What is a waiting period, and is there a waiting period for Health Protection before coverage starts?

A waiting period is a specific time frame that must pass after purchase before the certificate holder or beneficiary can file a claim.

The waiting period for Health Protection is 30 days for hospitalization, ICU, and surgery, 60 days for critical conditions and cancer, and 14 days for the death benefit. There is no waiting period for death due to an accident.

How to buy Health Protection through the Jenius app?

1. On the Jenius app Home page, open the Wealth page from the bottom navigation menu.
2. Select Insurance.
3. Scroll to the Health Protection section, then tap View Details.
4. On the product detail page, review the information on protection benefits, participation requirements, terms and conditions, and other important details.
5. To purchase Health Protection, select Buy.
6. Choose the plan that suits your needs, then tap Next.
7. Make sure the plan, single contribution, and benefit details are correct, then tap Next.
8. Enter the beneficiary’s name, then tap Next.
9. Answer the three health questions (Yes/No), then tap Next.
10. On the terms and conditions page, read all documents, agree to the statement, then tap Confirm.
11. Make sure all information is correct, then tap Buy Protection.
12. Enter password then send application.

Your Active Balance will be debited according to the selected single contribution, and the certificate will be issued within a maximum of 2 working days.

You can use Jenius Active Balance to pay single contributions easily and practically.

Will I get a notification if my purchase is declared successful or failed?

How long is the Protection purchase process on Jenius?

The Health Protection purchase process on Jenius takes a maximum of two working days after the application is successfully sent.

Can I have multiple protections in the Jenius app at the same time?

Yes, as long as the protections come from different Protection provider partners.

Can I pay single contributions monthly?

No. Currently only single contribution payments for 12-month coverage periods are available directly, and payments are made when purchase transactions occur.

Those entitled to receive Health Protection benefit payments if the participant or insured dies are the Heirs mentioned in the Health Protection purchase process.

How long is the certificate issuance process after successful purchase?

Why hasn’t my certificate been issued after 2 working days?

No. PRULindungi Syariah is a digital health insurance product so it’s not possible to send hard copies. The certificate is only a soft copy document that will be sent to the email registered on Jenius.

Where can I download my certificate?

The certificate will be sent and can be downloaded via the email registered on the Jenius app.

How to monitor the certificate through the Jenius app?

1. On the Home page, select Wealth from the bottom navigation menu
2. On the Wealth page, click Insurance
3. Scroll to the Health Protection area and tap the box with PRULindungi Syariah product

What is meant by active period and grace period?

Active period is the certificate validity period. Grace period is the period when the certificateholder gets a deadline to pay the certificate renewal single contribution. The grace period starts from the single contribution due date. The number of days for the grace period can vary, depending on the Protection provider.

How long is the active period of the PRULindungi Syariah certificate?

The membership or coverage period of the PRULindungi Syariah certificate you buy on the Jenius app is 12 months.

Is the certificate automatically renewed or do I need to manually repurchase?

After the certificate becomes inactive, you need to manually repurchase the certificate.

Will I receive notifications when the certificate reaches the grace period or approaches the end of the active period?

Yes, you will receive notifications when the certificate reaches the grace period or approaches the end of the active period. You can check the certificate status on the app.

Can I renew if the active certificate period has ended?

Yes, you can renew your certificate starting from 5 days before the certificate expires until 15 days after the certificate expires (grace period).

Can I cancel my certificate?

What happens to my single contribution if no health risk occurs during the certificate active period?

The single contribution has been paid and will not be refunded if none of the risks covered by the certificate occur during its active period.

Who is entitled to receive benefits if the participant dies?

Those entitled to receive Health Protection benefit payments if the participant or insured dies are the Heirs mentioned in the Health Protection purchase process.

If I am a beneficiary or heir, how do I file a claim that the participant has died?

1. Death report: Within 30 (thirty) days of the participant’s death, heirs or other parties representing them legally must report the participant’s death to Prudential Syariah.

2. Prepare documents: Beneficiaries prepare all claim documents and send them to Prudential Syariah consisting of:
a. Claim application form filled out completely and signed by the beneficiary along with other supporting documents as determined by Prudential Syariah
b. Original/legalized photocopy by the authorized party issuing the death certificate (whether from hospital and/or village office and/or Indonesian Police) and original beneficiary statement letter signed by the beneficiary and with stamp duty containing details about the participant’s death incident, date of incident and cause of death whether due to accident or illness
c. Photocopy of participant and beneficiary ID card and family card

3. Payment process: Benefit payment is made no later than 10 (ten) working days after all supporting claim documents according to this certificate are completely received by Prudential Syariah and the claim is approved by Prudential Syariah.

If I am a beneficiary or beneficiary, how do I file a claim that the participant has passed away?

To access Prudential’s claim website:
1. Prepare your ID card (KTP) and all required documents
2. Open the Jenius app, go to the Assets page, tap Insurance, and find the Health Protection card
3. Tap the card to open the Protection Details page
4. Select Claim via PRUServices website.

Make sure you have prepared the required documents, including:
1. A completed and accurate electronic claim submission form.
2. Photos of all original receipts and detailed bills, or copies legalized by the hospital or clinic, for the insured participant’s medical treatment expenses.
3. A photo of the original driver’s license appropriate to the vehicle type, if the insured participant was the driver or rider at the time of the traffic accident.
4. A photo of the insured participant’s ID card (KTP) or other valid identification (original).
5. A photo of the doctor’s certificate or medical summary from the physician who diagnosed the insured participant’s disability and the date the disability began.
6. A photo of the original police accident report, proving that the insured participant received emergency treatment due to an accident handled by the authorities.
