How do I apply for a Jenius Credit Card?

1. On the bottom navigation bar, select Credit.
2. Tap Let’s Check Creditbility & Apply!
3. Fill in your personal information, then tap Next.
4. Review and agree to the data analysis and verification statement, then tap Next.
5. Enter your Jenius password, then tap Submit.
6. Your application has been submitted. You can tap View Progress to track the application process.

After applying for a Jenius Credit Card, how long does the verification process take?

Application verification takes up to 2 working days (maximum). The process can take longer if you haven’t completed the income document.

Why was my Jenius Credit Card application rejected?

– You have not met the bank’s internal requirements.
– You have a monthly income of around IDR 3,000,000 – IDR 10,000,000 which according to Bank Indonesia regulations is only allowed to have credit cards from 2 different banks (maximum).

After my Jenius Credit Card application has been apprioved, what should I do?

Because you need to choose the design and name on the card and confirm the mailing address for physical card delivery.

1. On the bottom navigation bar, select Cards.
2. Once you’re on the Cards page, choose the Credit Card menu.
3. Tap Activate Now.
4. Choose your card design, enter the name to appear on the card, confirm your mailing address, then select Submit.
5. Review the terms & conditions and fee information, check the box to agree, then tap Submit.
6. Enter your Jenius password, then tap Submit.
7. Continue by selecting Explore Now.
8. Review the information provided, then tap Next.
9. On the final screen, tap Finish.
10. Complete the activation process by tapping Choose Double Yay Category.
11. Select the appropriate category, then tap Submit.

I am a selected Jenius user, how do I activate my Jenius Credit Card?

1. On the bottom navigation bar, select Cards.
2. Once you’re on the Cards page, choose the Credit Card menu.
3. Tap Activate Now.

After activating the Jenius Credit Card, what should I do?

Once you finish activation, you’ll automatically get a virtual card that you can use for online transactions while waiting for the physical card to arrive at your address.

 

What is a d-Card?

d-Card is the main credit card that you will automatically receive after activation.

When will I get my d-Card?

After the activation is complete, the virtual d-Card is automatically available in the Jenius application and can immediately be used for online transactions while waiting for the physical card sent to your address. When it arrives, immediately activate the physical card so that the d-Card can be used for offline transactions as well.

What is an S-Card?

s-Card is an supplementary credit card that can be given to people you trust.

s-Cards can only be ordered and managed by d-Card holders.

Who can I give the s-Card to?

You can give s-Cards to trusted people such as spouse, wife, parents, family, siblings, or friends.

For information, s-Cards can be given to Jenius users and to those who have not used Jenius app.

How many s-Cards can I request?

You can request for up to 5 s-Cards.

What should I prepare if I will give an s-Card to a Jenius user?

What should I prepare if I want to give an s-Card to someone who hasn’t used Jenius yet?

How do I request an s-Card?

You can request an s-Card from the Jenius app. Get to the Cards menu, choose Card Center, and tap Credit Card.

What should I do after requesting an s-Card?

Make sure you inform the recipient and ask him/her to give permission to create an s-Card on his/her behalf with the following guidelines:

  • Open the Jenius app.
  • Tap the bell icon at the top right of the screen.
  • Choose the Request menu.
  • Choose Grant Permission.
What happens when the s-Card recipient has not given permission yet?

The s-Card you requested could not be processed.

For information, permission from the s-Card recipient is a mandatory requirement that must be met by the d-Card holder in order to continue the s-Card application.

Where will the s-Card be sent?

The s-Card will be sent to the mailing address of the d-Card owner.

How long does the s-Card delivery process take?
  • 3 working days for Jabodetabek area.
  • 7 working days for outside Jabodetabek area.

Can I change the s-Card holder identity? If possible, how?

The s-Card holder identity cannot be changed.

Request a new s-Card if you want to give it to another person.

If there are 5 active s-Card on your account and you want to request for one more, then one of the active s-Cards must be closed first. After that, a new s-Card can be requested.

How can I close my s-Card?

Why is there no CVV code and expiry date information on my Jenius Credit Card?

For security reasons, you can only see the CVV code and the validity period of the d-Card and s-Card in the Jenius app.

How do I view the CVV code and expiration date of my Jenius Credit Card?

– On the bottom navigation bar, select Cards.
– On the Cards page, choose the Credit Card menu.
– Tap your Jenius Credit Card.

After calling SMBCI Care, when will I receive the QR code by email?

The QR code for physical card activation will be sent to the email registered to your Jenius account on the same day.

Yes. Once activated using the QR code, your physical Jenius Credit Card will be active and ready to use for offline transactions, including cash withdrawals.

I’ve received the QR code by email, but it won’t scan. What should I do?

Contact 1500 365 for assistance with activating your physical Jenius Credit Card through Jenius Help.

For security reasons, activation through Jenius Help requires a data verification process that takes up to 1 business day (1×24 hours).

 

Where can I use my Jenius Credit Card for transactions?

You can use Jenius Credit Card for online and offline transactions.

Can s-Card recipient use the card for online transactions?

Yes. The d-Card holder can provide information on the card number, CVV code, and card validity period so that the s-Card recipient can use it for online transactions.

Keep in mind, the d-Card holder is fully responsible for all transaction activities carried out by the s-Card recipient.

Where can I view transaction history with Jenius Credit Card?

On the Transactions menu in your d-Card and s-Card details. Transaction history is provided apart from In & Out.

No. Jenius Credit Card transactions are not recorded in the Transactions or Moneytory menus.

What are Quasi-Cash Transactions on Jenius Credit Cards?

Quasi-cash transactions are credit card transactions using your Jenius Credit Card that are similar to cash withdrawals, but aren’t direct cash withdrawals. These transactions typically involve the purchase of foreign currency or items that can be easily converted into cash, such as casino chips, cryptocurrency, money orders, lottery tickets, or traveler’s checks. These transactions are identified by their Merchant Category Code (MCC).

Please note that quasi-cash transactions may incur fees and interest charges equivalent to ATM cash withdrawal fees, and they do not earn Yay Points.

What is a credit limit?

Credit limit is a combined limit for Jenius Credit Card and Flexi Cash.

What is the term and condition for Credit limit?
  • The selected limit must not be less than the minimum product limit, which is IDR 2,000,000 for credit cards and IDR 500,000 for Flexi Cash.
  • The selected limit must not be less than the limit used for each product.
  • Limit reallocation can only be done in multiples of IDR 500,000.
  • Credit card limit should not exceed more than 3 times your monthly income (for customers with an estimated income between Rp. 3,000,000 – Rp. 10,000,000 per month).
  • Flexi Cash limit cannot exceed more than IDR 200,000,000.
  • Limit reallocation can only be done if Flexi Cash and credit cards are in Active status with “pass” payment performance, and in normal status (not in an overlimit state, not in a fraud investigation, not in a temporary limit increase status, etc.).
  • Limit reallocation can only be done once in every 30 calendar days from the previous reallocation.
  • Limit reallocation cannot be done within a period of 3 calendar days before the end of the month.
Which card is connected to the credit limit?

The card that is directly connected to the credit limit is the d-Card. In addition, the use of the s-Card for transactions will automatically reduce the credit limit.

What is a spending limit?

The spending limit is the limit for the s-Card.

Is there a minimum limit for spending limits?

No. You can set a spending limit according to your needs.

Is there a maximum limit for spending limits?

Yes. The maximum limit for spending is your Jenius Credit Card (d-Card) limit.

How does spending limit work?

The spending limit takes the portion of the Jenius Credit Card (d-Card) limit.

Transactions with s-Card is limited to the pre-set spending limit, which is automatically adjusted by the remaining d-Card limit.

Payment with s-Card will reduce the Jenius Credit Card (d-Card) limit.

Spending limit will reset (the limit you have pre-set) at the beginning of the month, but its usage still depends on the remaining d-Card limit.

What is the single purchase limit?

The single purchase limit is the limit you set for single purchase with d-Card or s-Card.

If a transaction occurs above the specified limit, the transaction cannot be processed.

Why can’t I change the cash advance limit at the ATM?

Unlike Jenius Debit Card, you cannot set a daily withdrawal limit at ATMs for Jenius Credit Card.

Yet, you can still use your Jenius Credit Card to withdraw cash at an ATM (if the transaction settings are activated) with a cash withdrawal credit limit of 30% of the limit you set for Jenius Credit Card.

What are the requirements to apply for Jenius Credit Card limit increase?

Call SMBCI Care at 1500 365 to apply for a limit increase and make sure you have prepared:
1. Supporting documents such as income documents, bank statements for the last 3 months, or Tax Return Report (SPT).
2. NPWP (if the requested limit is above IDR50,000,000).
3. Include the desired increase limit amount and the reason for the credit card limit increase.
4. Make sure your credit card status is active and not blocked.

What are the terms and conditions of Jenius Credit Card limit increase application?

Limit increases are divided into two types: permanent limit increases and temporary limit increases.

For temporary limit increases, the conditions are as follows:

1. Ensure that the credit card is active.
2. The credit card has been active for more than 6 months since the credit card application was approved.
3. At least one transaction has been made since the credit card application was approved.
4. At the time of application, there are no overdue payments or delinquent status on the account.
5. It has been more than 3 months since the last temporary limit increase.
6. The request must be made by the primary cardholder.
7. At the time of application, the credit card usage is not exceeding the limit (overlimit) and is not currently under a temporary credit limit increase.
8. The temporary limit increase is valid for 60 calendar days. You must settle any excess usage before the temporary limit increase expires. If not, an overlimit fee will be charged.

For permanent limit increases, the conditions are as follows:

1. Permanent limit increases can only be requested by Jenius Credit Card holders.
2. Submit supporting documents such as valid income documents, the last 3 months’ bank statements, or an SPT report.
3. Submit an NPWP if the requested limit exceeds IDR 50,000,000.
4. There are no overdue payments or delinquent status on the Jenius Credit Card at the time of application.
5. The account is not in an overlimit condition or currently receiving a temporary limit increase.
6. The request is not made within 12 months of the last permanent limit increase.
7. The limit increase will be processed within a maximum of 5 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and National Holidays).

How do I manage my Jenius Credit Card limit?

ou can allocate your Creditbility based on your needs when activating a credit product or after you’ve activated one or more credit products.

Allocating Creditbility during product activation:
– Go to Credit page.
– Select the product you want to activate.
– Fill in the required information.
– Set the desired limit for the credit product.
– Agree to the terms and conditions, then enter your password to confirm.
– For Flexi Cash, you’ll need to make your first withdrawal to activate the product.

Allocating Creditbility after activating multiple products:
– Go to Credit page.
– Select Creditbility Allocation.
– Set your preferred limit for each product.
– Tap Save and enter your password to confirm.

What is Split Pay?

A feature to convert past transactions into installments.

Where can I access the Split Pay feature on my Jenius Credit Card?

From the Credit Card menu in the Cards page, tap the Split Pay box in the Credit Card Information section.

Where can I find transactions with Jenius Credit Cards that I can convert into installments using Split Pay?

From the Transaction menu on your d-Card and s-Card details.

On the Transaction menu, view the transaction history, then find the Installment available marker to find out which transactions can be converted into installments using Split Pay.

What are the installment condition for Jenius Credit Card using Split Pay?
  • Monthly installments will be billed via credit card monthly billing, according to the tenor chosen by the cardholder.
  • For early repayment fee, customers will be charged an early payment fee of 3% of the remaining principal and will be billed in the billing statement.
  • The monthly installments billed will be calculated into the minimum payment.
  • If the customer is late for more than 3 (three) times the due date, the remaining installments will be due immediately and will be billed in full in the billing statement.
  • Transactions that can be split to installment plan are only transactions with a minimum amount of IDR 500,000.
  • The first installment billing date is 1 month after the date of converting the transaction into installments.
  • If the installment collection date is at the end of the month (31st), then the following month will also be stated at the end of the month (31st, 30th, 29th, or 28th).
  • The monthly installment interest is calculated on an effective interest basis (decreasing interest).
How many tenors are available if I convert the transaction with Jenius Credit Card into installments?

3 to 36 months.

How do I convert transaction made with Jenius Credit Card into installments using Split Pay?

‘1. On the bottom navigation, select Cards.
2. On the Cards page, select Credit Card menu.
3. Tap your Jenius Credit Card.
4. Select Transaction menu.
5. Find transaction that’s labeled as Installment Available, then tap the transaction you want to convert to installment.
6. Select Change to Installment.
7. On the preferred tenure section, tap the arrow, then select your installment tenure.
8. Review the available information, then tap Next.
9. Review the information on the confirmation page, then tap Next.
10. Read and agree to the Terms & Conditions, then tap Change to Installment.
11. On the confirmation page, check the approval box, then tap Submit.
12. Enter your Jenius password, then tap Submit.
13. You’ve successfully converted the transaction into installments.

How do I stop or pay off my Jenius Credit Card installment early?

– On the bottom navigation bar, tap Cards.
– On the Cards page, select Credit Card.
– Scroll to the Credit Card Information section, then tap More in the Split Pay box.
– Select the Split Pay menu.
– From the list, choose the installment you want to stop.
– On the installment detail page, tap Stop.
– Review the remaining installment amount, then tap Next.
– On the confirmation page, tap Submit.
– Enter your Jenius password, then tap Submit.
– Your installment has been successfully stopped.

Is there a fee for converting transaction into installments?

Effective 18 August 2025, a fee of IDR20,000 will be charged for each transaction converted into installments with 0% interest. If you convert a transaction into installments with an interest rate above 0% (e.g. 1,75%), no fee will be charged.

Is there an additional fee if I stop or pay off my Jenius Credit Card installment early?

Yes. For early repayment, a 3% early payment fee will be charged based on the remaining principal, and this fee will appear on your billing statement.

How do I check my Jenius Credit Card installment list?

From the Billing Information section:
– Tap Cards on the bottom navigation bar.
– On the Cards page, select Credit Card.
– Scroll to the Billing Information section and tap View.
– Select the Split Pay menu.

From the Credit Card Information section:
– Tap Cards on the bottom navigation bar.
– On the Cards page, select Credit Card.
– Scroll to the Credit Card Information section and tap More in the Split Pay box.

How is interest calculated for Split Pay?

The monthly installment interest is calculated using the effective interest method (declining balance).

When will the first installment be billed for my Jenius Credit Card that I Split Pay?

If you convert the transaction into installments with 0% interest, the first installment will be billed on the same date as the conversion date.

If you convert the transaction into installment with an interest rate above 0% (e.g. 1,75%), the first installment will be billed one month after conversion date.

If the installment billing date due on the end of the month (e.g. the 31st), it will also due at the end of the month in the following months (on the 31st, 30th, 29th, or 28th).

What are the installment condition for Jenius Credit Card using Split Pay?

– Monthly installments will be billed through credit card monthly billing statement, according to selected tenure.

– Monthly installments billed will be included in the minimum payment calculation.

– If there’s delinquency for more than 3 (three) due dates, the remaining installments will immediately become due and will be billed in full in the billing statement.

– Installments can only be created if your Available Installment Limit is sufficient.

– If your Available Installment Limit is not sufficient, there are several things you can do:

1. If you still have unused limit in Creditbility, you can reallocate the unused limit to Credit Card limit from the Credit Card page. During the process of converting the transaction into installments on the preview page when selecting a tenor, Jenius will help allocate the limit to the Credit Card limit in increments of IDR 100,000 to meet the required Available Installment Limit.

2. If your Creditbility limit has already been allocated to all credit products, you can reallocate the limit from other credit products (like Flexi Cash or Paylater) to the Credit Card.

3. If all your Creditbility limit has been allocated to credit products and fully used, you can request a limit increase through the call center. If your request is approved, you can then allocate the additional limit to your Credit Card.

4. If your limit increase request is denied, you can cancel an existing installment to free up space for a new one.

How can I see my Jenius Credit Card bill?

The billing recap (e-Statement) is automatically available in the Jenius app and sent to your e-mail on every billing date.

What is billing statement date?

The billing date is the date when the Jenius Credit Card monthly bill is printed and sent to the d-Card holder.

Billing statement is printed and sent between 20th ad 26th of each month.

How do I view my Jenius Credit Card bill from Jenius app?
  • Tap Cards on the bottom navigation.
  • On the Card Center, tap the Credit Card menu, scroll to the Billing Information section, then tap View.
  • On the Summary page, you can view the information in the Billing Details section or tap the monthly billing statement available in the Billing Information section.
What kind of information available on the Jenius Credit Card billing statement?
  • The name of the d-Card holder.
  • d-Card number.
  • Credit performance which contains information on the status of bill payments.
  • Billing information which contains the total and billing print date, due date, and minimum payment information.
  • Summary of bills containing total bills and information on d-Card and s-Card bills, installments, interest & fees, and remaining previous bills (if any).
  • Yay Points which contains information on the previous month’s points, points earned this month, adjusted points, and points exchanged.
  • d-Card transaction history containing the cardholder’s name, credit limit, remaining credit, cash withdrawal limit, remaining cash withdrawal limit, as well as transaction history in chronological order.
  • S-Card transaction history which contains the cardholder’s name and transaction history in chronological order.
  • Installments containing a list of installments in chronological order with details of the start/end date, description, monthly installment nominal, and the amount of your installment.
  • Terms & conditions containing Jenius Credit Card information that you must follow.
What is the billing due date?

The last date on which the d-Card holder must make a bill payment of at least the minimum payment stated on the billing statement.

How do I pay my Jenius Credit Card bill?

There are four ways to pay Jenius Credit Card bills.

  • Pay manually from Jenius app.
  • Pay automatically from Jenius app.
  • Pay from SMBC Indonesia ATM.
  • Pay by wire transfer from another bank.
How do I pay my Jenius Credit Card bill manually from the Jenius app?
  • Tap Cards on the bottom navigation.
  • On the Card Center, tap the Credit Card menu, look for Billing Information, then tap View.
  • Tap Pay Now.
  • Input the payment amount, then tap Continue.
  • Review the payment confirmation page, then tap Send.
  • Enter the Jenius password, then tap Send.

What is auto pay?

Jenius Credit Card bill payment options which enable automatically on the due date according to the payment options (full payment or minimum payment) that have been set.

In order to be debited successfully on the due date, make sure you provide money in the Active Balance according to the payment amount no later than 17.00 WIB.

How do I activate the auto-pay option for my Jenius Credit Card bill?
  • Tap Cards on the bottom navigation.
  • On the Card Center, tap the Credit Card menu, select the Billing Information, then tap View.
  • Scroll to Automatic Payments, then tap Activate Now.
  • Select the type of payment you want to make, then tap Continue.
  • Recheck to the payment confirmation page, then tap Send.
  • Enter the Jenius password, then tap Send.
  • Automatic payment activated successfully!
What happens if my Active Balance is insufficient to be debited on the due date?

Jenius will try it again for the next five days or until the minimum payment has been met even if the option you choose is full payment.

How do I change an ongoing automatic payment setting?

– Tap Cards on the bottom navigation.
– On the Cards page, tap the Credit Card menu, select the Billing Information, then tap View.
– Scroll to Automatic Payments, then tap Activate Now.
– Select the type of payment you want to make, then tap Continue.
– Recheck to the payment confirmation page, then tap Send.
– Input your Jenius password, then tap Send.
– Automatic payment activated successfully!
