What is Moneytory?

Moneytory or Money Story is a personal finance diary that helps you manage your cashflow smarter. You can see your income, expenses, net income, and even your budgeting here. Moneytory records all transactions in Jenius automatically, complete with existing categories. You can also change the transaction category according to your needs.

What is the benefit of using Moneytory?

You don’t need to bother recording every income and expense manually, because Moneytory will record all transactions from the Active Balance (m-Card) automatically.

You also don’t need to categorize each transaction. As long as you have categorized the transaction in Jenius, you don’t need to do it again in the Moneytory feature.

In addition, Moneytory also displays spending trends to show a graph of your expenses. You can find out the biggest expenses, transactions, money transfers, and e-Wallet top-ups that are most often done.

What is the requirement of using Moneytory?

To use Moneytory, you need to make at least 1 (one) transaction in Jenius on the selected period.

How do I access Moneytory in the Jenius app?

You can access Moneytory via the top left menu or through the dashboard in Jenius.

What kind of transactions that are shown on Moneytory?

Moneytory displays all transactions using Rupiah from the Active Balance (m-Card).

Can I edit or delete a transaction in Moneytory?

You can’t change or delete any transactions in Moneytory, because Moneytory automatically records all transactions from Active Balance (m-Card) that you make in the Jenius app or by swiping cards on an EDC machine.

How do I add income or expense transactions in Moneytory?

You don’t need to add income and expense transactions manually in Moneytory. As long as you make transactions from Active Balance (m-Card), Moneytory will automatically record the transactions.

What is Period Setting?

Period Setting is where you specify first day of the week and first day of the month. First day of the week determines your weekly summary starting on the day you prefer (Monday – Sunday). Whereas first day of the month determines your monthly summary starting on the date you prefer (1 – 30/31).

How do I set the Period Setting?

You can set the period through the following steps:
1. Tap on the Moneytory feature
2. Choose the menu on the upper right corner of your phone screen
3. Select Settings
4. Set first day of the week
5. Set first day of the month
6. When finished, tap Save

Can I change the Period Setting?

You can change the Period Setting at any time.

What is Overview?

Overview is a report that shows your income, expenses and net income. You can see a summary in a weekly, monthly, or quarterly period.

What transactions are displayed on the Highlights?

Transactions that are displayed on the Highlights are the biggest expenses, transactions, money transfers, and e-Wallet top-ups that are most often done. But if you don’t do the transaction, the transaction won’t appear in the Highlights.

What is Expense Trend?

Expense Trend is a graph that illustrates the number of your expenses. This graph is dynamic, in which you can shift the point to find out the details of your expenses at a certain time.

What is the uncategorized transaction?

The uncategorized transactions are the transactions that you have not categorized in In & Out.

How do I categorize an uncategorized transaction?

You can categorize transactions that have not been categorized through the following steps:
1. Tap on the Moneytory feature
2. Tap on the circle diagram or Expense to enter Expenses Details
3. Select Uncategorized transaction
4. Select one transaction that you want to categorize
5. On the transaction details page, tap on Category
6. Choose one category that suits your transaction
7. Done

How do I create, edit, or delete a transaction category?

You can change the transaction categories in Moneytory or In & Out, but you cannot create or delete existing categories.

How do I change the transaction category?

You can change the transaction category through the following steps:
1. Tap on the Moneytory feature
2. Tap on the circle diagram or Expense to enter Expenses Details
3. Select the transaction you want to replace
4. Select one transaction of which the category you want to change
5. On the transaction details page, tap on Category
6. Choose one category that suits your needs
7. This transaction will move into the new category in a few minutes

Can transactions be categorized automatically?

Yes, Moneytory can categorize transactions automatically.
