How to Activate Your Jenius Account

If you are within the Greater Jakarta region

Pick one of the following activation methods:

A. Have a Jenius Crew meet you:

You can ask a Jenius Crew to meet you and help activate your Jenius account, anytime, anywhere. The Jenius Crew operates from Monday to Sunday, 09.00 – 20.00 (Indonesia Western Time), except on public holiday. Follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the GPS setting on your smartphone is turned on
  2. Open the Jenius app
  3. Click on the ACTIVATE button on the main page
  4. Click I Want Jenius Crew to Meet Me Now
  5. You will be redirected to the official activate.jenius.com page
  6. Call a Jenius Crew to your current location (you will not be charged for this service)
    * The pin may not point to your precise location, but don’t worry, you will be able to manually input your detailed address.
  7. Make sure to have an original copy of your identity card with you for verification purposes
  8. The Jenius Crew will ask for your signature and take a picture of your ID
  9. You will receive an email from Jenius confirming the activation of your account.
  10. Your Jenius debit card will be processed after the activation and will be sent to the address registered on the app.

B. Visit a Jenius Location:

  1. Make time to activate your account by visiting one of our Jenius Locations
  2. Make sure to have an original copy of your identity card with you for verification purposes
  3. The Jenius Crew will ask for your signature and take a picture of your ID
  4. You will receive an email from Jenius confirming the activation of your account

If you are outside of the Greater Jakarta region

Complete your account activation by visiting a BTPN Sinaya and Purna Bakti branch nearest to you. Make sure to have an original copy of your identity card with you for verification purposes.

Why do I have to activate my Jenius account?

Your Jenius account is not automatically activated after completing the registration process, which means you will not yet be able to conduct money transfers or other transactions. To fully experience Banking Reinvented and make the most of the available Jenius features, you will have to activate your Jenius account. This process is also a requirement set by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
